Flohtohn is more than a brand, it's an idea.
Established in 2017, Flohtohn began as an adventure to stoke the action sports market with fresh concepts around hand-made wood crafts. Beyond woodworking, Flohtohn was created out of a observed need within the industry for a brand who's intensions were humble, and would atomically energize the market by the same powder hounds who needed it - one's that called Colorado their home.
We chose Flohtohn for a reason. After a very sober night of intelligent reflection, unscientific reasoning and exclusion from the academically accepted laws of physics while watching the X-Games, we knew we had our answer. If there was an undiscovered element that gave enthusiasts their feeling of stoke, without a doubt, it had to be Flohtohn.
It began in grandpas old shop in the back of Bob's family property where we experimented by pressing snowboards, clamping custom cornhole boards and laving recycled skateboards into jewelry. We knew from then on that the concept was catching traction. However at the time, we ourselves had not fully embraced the Floh-tohn, for energy without Floh seeks any outlet for manifestation.
After a 7-year hiatus of seeing our old stickers hanging out at ski resorts and on homies cars, we; (owners) Bob Fenske and Matt Thornton, re-birthed the company in 2025. It was then that we knew that Flohtohn had been recognized as holistic form of stoke consumption, and would remain as an industry leader of love, craftmanship, and Floh.
